About the Opportunity
IntelliStaff is seeking individuals and organizations with demonstrated Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ) and cultural expertise to support an upcoming Government of Nunavut (GN), Department of Health Standing Offer Agreement.
This posting is not tied to a live or immediate contract. Consultants who respond will be considered for inclusion in a qualified roster. If IntelliStaff is successfully awarded the Standing Offer, we will actively pursue future Health initiatives requiring Inuit cultural expertise and propose rostered consultants based on alignment with specific project needs.
While inclusion on the roster does not guarantee work, it positions consultants for future GN Health engagements that require culturally grounded, Inuit-informed approaches.
Role Overview – Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit & Cultural Expertise
Consultants on this roster may be engaged to provide Inuit cultural knowledge, guidance, and facilitation to support culturally safe and appropriate Health initiatives in Nunavut.
Assignments may include one or more of the following:

Supporting the development of culturally safe materials for Health programs, services, and initiatives in Nunavut

Providing an Inuit cultural perspective and advice to Health initiatives, policies, programs, and communications

Supporting Health initiatives by sourcing, engaging, and/or subcontracting Elders and other Inuit cultural advisors, as appropriate
-
Facilitating or supporting multi-lingual workshops, meetings, and consultations within Nunavut

Supporting culturally respectful engagement with communities, Elders, and Inuit organizations

Advising on culturally appropriate processes, protocols, and engagement approaches
Areas of Cultural Expertise
Cultural expertise work may support a wide range of Health activities, including but not limited to:

Program and service design

Community engagement and consultation

Communications and materials development

Training and education initiatives

Policy and planning processes
Ideal Consultant Profile
We are seeking consultants who can clearly demonstrate:

Deep knowledge of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (IQ) and Inuit cultural practices
-
Experience providing Inuit cultural advice or guidance to government or public-sector initiatives

Experience supporting culturally safe engagement and materials development
-
Experience facilitating or supporting multi-lingual engagement (Inuktut and English/French, as applicable)

Strong relationships within Nunavut communities and/or Inuit organizations (strong asset)

Respectful, ethical, and community-grounded approaches to cultural advisory work
Inuit individuals, Inuit-owned organizations, and Nunavut-based consultants are strongly encouraged to express interest.
