About the Role
We’re building a standby roster of experienced IT Business Analysts to support public-sector and enterprise technology projects across Nunavut. Some roles are fully on-site in northern communities; others are remote or hybrid, depending on the department and project phase. If you enjoy translating “big ideas” into clear requirements and keeping projects from wandering off into the tundra, you’ll fit right in.
What You’ll Do
- Lead requirements gathering sessions; workshops, interviews, and stakeholder meetings
- Translate business needs into functional documentation; user stories, BRDs/FRDs, process maps
- Perform gap analysis; current-state and future-state workflows
- Support Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid SDLC environments
- Coordinate UAT; write test cases; support defect triage and fixes
- Support implementations, upgrades, and integrations; keep scope and priorities tidy
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Business Analysis, Information Systems, or related field
- 3+ years of IT Business Analyst experience
- Enterprise and/or government systems experience preferred
- Strong stakeholder management, documentation, and facilitation skills
- Tools experience is an asset; Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Visio, MS Project
- Comfort working independently; especially in remote northern environments
